The purpose of the Cynthiana First United Methodist Church is to reach out with the love and forgiveness of God to our community and the world in service to others as we continue to grow toward Christian maturity.

Pastor Jimmy Owens Pastor Jimmy Owens began serving Cynthiana First United Methodist Church in 2006. He has been in the ministry for over 30 yrs having served previously in the Irvine, Perryville, and Harrodsburg churches. Pastor and Mrs. Owens have two adult children and two grandchildren. We give thanks for Pastor Jimmy and his wife, Gail, as he leads our congregation.
Mary Gossett has been a faithful and loyal church secretary assisting church pastors since 1963. Mary and husband, Ernie, have two adult children and two grandsons. Mary always welcomes you with a warm smile and cheerfully provides assistance along with her many and varied responsibilities.
